MEDICAL HERBALIST – PHYTOTHERAPIST
Aude Echalier is a qualified and insured medical herbalist and a registered member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalist (NIMH), the college of Phytotherapist Practitioners (CPP) and the British Herbal Medicine Association (BHMA). As part of her training, she studied for four years in clinical medicine, differential diagnostic skills, pharmacology, materia medica, botany, nutrition and clinical examinations.
Aude also has a diploma in Chinese herbal medicine and in Clinical Hypnotherapy, which allows her to expand the scope of her herbalism practice. She has received the Peter Bradley Award 2024 from the BHMA.
Herbal medicine is a rigorous, evidence-based practice that can help wide-ranging health conditions, including:
IBS, PMS, infertility, eczema, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety and much more,
as well as life transitions such as menopause and growing in age.
Medical herbalism is a holistic approach to health, not only treating the symptoms, but helping the entire body and mind to get healthier, ensuring that the vital body functions are working correctly, in balance and harmony. Herbal treatments are exceptionally good at gently correcting imbalances, even in the most complex chronic health conditions or in prevention of health risks.
Natural medicine is a way to go in depth in one’s health. Following a thorough consultation, it’s Aude’s job to connect the dots and figure out the underlying cause of your health concerns. Aude is passionate about helping others with natural medicine and will work with you to define a treatment plan with nutritional and lifestyle advice and a unique herbal treatment that is tailored to you and addresses your specific needs.
Aude is trained in clinical examination (including blood pressure, ear and eye examination) and in interpreting different test results (including blood, urine, others). Her work with patients requires in some instances to run some further testing (e.g. urine tests; food sensitivity; gut microbiome; SIBO breath testing). Her comprehensive training allows her to identify any conditions that might require a referral to a GP for further investigations.
