EXERCISE CLASSES FOR OLDER ADULTS
Emma Overson is dedicated to promoting exercise in older people and runs exercise classes for older adults on Wednesdays and Thursdays here at The Faringdon Clinic. Payment is usually in monthly blocks or may be charged at a slightly increased rate on a drop-in basis when space permits.
This is a seated and standing class aimed at people aged 60+, people who do not generally exercise, who may be recovering from illness, injury or surgery, or people who have lost confidence in exercising. It is also suitable for people who have other co-existing health problems.
The aims of the class are to help improve and / or maintain: mobility and flexibility, strength and stamina, balance, confidence with movement and exercise, posture, relaxation, breathing control; to promote physical activity in older people, and falls prevention.
